Day 1 – Tuesday, 22 September

Make your way to DFW Airport for your overnight flight to Rio De Janeiro

Day 2 – Wednesday, 23 September

After your overnight flight to Rio de Janeiro, you’ll be greeted in the arrivals hall by your tour host and transferred to your hotel for the next five nights, the Windsor California Hotel. Perfectly located in the heart of Copacabana Beach, it’s an ideal base to experience one of the world’s most iconic shorelines. After check-in, you’ll receive your trip gifts and have time to ask questions or relax. In the evening, meet at 6pm on the rooftop for a welcome reception with drinks and appetizers, overlooking Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain—a stunning introduction to the city.

Day 3 – Thursday, 24 September

Following breakfast, set out on a half-day sightseeing tour beginning with a visit to Christ the Redeemer. Travel by train up the mountain, then climb a short set of steps to reach the summit, where breathtaking views await. After time for photos, descend and continue into the city to explore the colorful Selarón Steps and the striking Rio de Janeiro Cathedral. Return to the hotel around lunchtime, leaving the afternoon free to dine at a beach café or continue exploring.

Day 4 – Friday, 25 September

Enjoy a free morning—perhaps relax on Copacabana Beach or take a scenic walk to Ipanema Beach. After lunch, regroup for another half-day tour featuring Sugarloaf Mountain. Ride the cable car to the summit for panoramic views across the city, then visit additional highlights before returning to the hotel in the evening.

Day 5 – Saturday, 26 September

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure—relax by the beach or choose from optional excursions. You might visit Arraial do Cabo for crystal-clear waters, explore the rainforest, or discover the historic charm of Petrópolis, once a royal summer retreat and home to the Imperial Museum of Emperor Dom Pedro II. In the evening, meet at 7pm for a lively pep rally and beach party with food, drinks, and entertainment—perfect for soaking up the samba spirit ahead of game day.

Day 6 – Sunday, 27 September

Game day has arrived. Spend the day at your leisure before heading to a tailgate event five hours before kickoff, featuring a traditional Brazilian feast, drinks, and live entertainment. Then make your way into the legendary Maracanã Stadium to watch the Baltimore Ravens face off against the Dallas Cowboys in an unforgettable showdown.

Day 7 – Monday, 28 September

After an incredible stay, enjoy your final moments in Rio before your driver transfers you to the airport for your overnight journey home.

 Travel Insurance

Buy travel protection from Travel Insured International

We always recommend you take out Travel Insurance and below we've listed just some of the reasons why:

  1. Life is unpredictable. Some trips need to be cancelled.
With the right travel insurance, you won't have to pay for a trip you are unable to take.
  2. Most lost luggage takes five days to return to its owner.
Travel insurance provides coverage to replace needed items right away.
  3. Lost or forgotten medication?
Travel insurance will assist you in locating a pharmacy to purchase a new prescription.
  4. Travelers stateside and abroad can become ill or injured during their trip.
Travel insurance can provide peace of mind – especially for travel outside the United States, where many hospitals request cash payments in the thousands before treatment can even begin.
  5. Health insurance may not go the distance.
The majority of health insurance (including Medicare), worker’s compensation insurance, third-party and personal liability policies don’t cover international travel. In fact, a closer look at the inside of your passport will reveal that the government recommends travel insurance when traveling outside the United States.
  6. In the event of a natural disaster, airline strike or act of terrorism, airlines will not refund the cost of your ticket. Travel Insurance plans can cover the cost and help you get home quickly and safely.
  7. Credit card coverage, homeowners and auto insurance, none of these provide sufficient coverage for travel. Even combined, they may not offset the cost of a medical emergency overseas.
  8. In the unlikely case of supplier default. If a cruise line, airline or other travel provider ceases operations, travel insurance saves you from paying for a trip you'll really never get to take.
  9. We all experience tough economic times.
The loss of a job or other income might mean a trip planned in advance may have to wait. Travel insurance puts cash back into your hands when you need it most.
