Day 1
Saturday 28th December

You'll arrive into Zurich International Airport and your tour host will meet you in the arrivals hall. Then, it’s a short 15-minute drive to our hotel, the brand new Sheraton Zurich. You'll have included in your trip a 1-day pass which will allow you to use the amazing tram system all around this beautiful lakeside town. Why not explore the old town with history dating back 2000 years, take a boat trip on the lake (where you'll see Tina Turner's house) or even visit the FIFA Soccer Museum. The evening is free to relax ready for our trip to Davos tomorrow.

Day 2

Sunday 29th December

After a fabulous breakfast we hit the road as we head the 2 hours through stunning mountain scenery to Davos. We'll arrive in time for our Rooftop welcome reception. The Rooftop is outdoors, and we'll all enjoy traditional Swiss food (including the incredible local soup) as well as beer, wine and sodas. The highlight of this event though are the amazing views. You'll see the town of Davos laid out in front of you, have the best view of the Valliant Arena, home of the Spengler Cup and have a panoramic view out to the mountains. Next, we’re off to game 1 as we walk over to Arena for the first Quarter Final Matchup. After the conclusion of game 1 we meet for a meal and drinks to get ready for the evening game. It’s the short walk back to the arena for Quarter Final 2 where we'll find out the last team to qualify for the Semi Finals.

Day 3

Monday 30th December

Today is nonstop, we begin as always with a fabulous breakfast, then it’s over to Loft 23 right next to the arena, where we'll get a private visit with the historic Spengler Cup Trophy. You'll all get the opportunity to have your picture taken with the trophy (it will certainly make everyone back at home truly envious!!). You then have a few hours to explore this quaint mountain town. If you really want to experience Davos, then take the incline railway to the top of the Schatzalp Mountain home of the famous book "The Magic Mountain" penned by Thomas Mann in 1924. The views here stretch the entire valley and are the same as Mann looked over 100 years ago. After lunch (there are plenty of great places to grab a meal large or small) we meet to head over to Game 3 of the trip and the first semi-final. As soon as the first finalist is decided we'll meet up for our second exclusive photo opportunity as we head down for our on ice photo!! after we finish on the ice we head for another traditional Swiss meal before heading back in for the second semi-final.

Day 4

Tuesday 31st December

Our final day is also the Grand Finale as the 2 top teams battle it out to add their names to historic list of winners of the Spengler Cup. Its sure to be a fantastic atmosphere and you'll have incredible seats to take plenty of pictures of the celebrations. The afternoon is free before we meet up at 8pm for our New Year's Eve Party. Don't worry, the party is relaxed (wear your favorite Hockey Jersey theme) and we've got the perfect menu, plenty of drinks in a private room with a big screen TV where we'll be able to watch the World Junior Championships live from back home.

Day 5

Wednesday 1st January

After breakfast we take the road back to Zurich airport and your flight home.

 FAQ

Q: Are Flights Included in this package?

A: NO Flights are not included with this package; you have the option to either call us to get a quote for flights to add to this package or you can book the flights yourself.

Q: If we book flights ourselves what dates and arrival and departure times should we use?

A: Firstly, please make sure all flights arrive into Zurich and depart from Zurich. Secondly for this trip you will need to depart from Canada on Friday 27th December in the afternoon/evening (most flights are overnight from Canada arriving on the morning of Saturday 28th December). Ideally your flight should arrive into Zurich between 9am and 1pm.

Q: If I decide to add extra nights will you still provide airport transfers?

A: Yes, providing the extra nights are booked through us as the pricing of the transfer is built into the extra night prices. If you choose to book another hotel for the extra nights, then you will be responsible for your own journey to/from the airport.

Q: What time should I depart on the last day of the trip?

A: We suggest you book flights for lunchtime or early afterrnoon as we've got a 2 hour trip from Davos into Zurich.

Q: What time can I check into my room?

A: Check in time at the hotel is from 3pm onwards. When you arrive at the hotel you'll meet your tour host at our hospitality desk located in the lobby, and they will assist with the check in process. As you will arrive earlier than the check in time, the hotel will allow you to store your bags in a secure room until the room is ready, and you'll be free to start exploring the local area whilst this is being done.

Q: When/how will I get my game tickets?

A: All game tickets for the games at the Vaillant Arena will be electronic. Your tour host will provide them for you on arrival in Zurich.

 Travel Insurance

We always recommend you take out Travel Insurance and below we've listed just some of the reasons why:

  1. Life is unpredictable. Some trips need to be cancelled.
With the right travel insurance, you won't have to pay for a trip you are unable to take.
  2. Most lost luggage takes five days to return to its owner.
Travel insurance provides coverage to replace needed items right away.
  3. Lost or forgotten medication?
Travel insurance will assist you in locating a pharmacy to purchase a new prescription.
  4. Travelers stateside and abroad can become ill or injured during their trip.
Travel insurance can provide peace of mind – especially for travel outside the United States, where many hospitals request cash payments in the thousands before treatment can even begin.
  5. Health insurance may not go the distance.
The majority of health insurance (including Medicare), worker’s compensation insurance, third-party and personal liability policies don’t cover international travel. In fact, a closer look at the inside of your passport will reveal that the government recommends travel insurance when traveling outside the United States.
  6. In the event of a natural disaster, airline strike or act of terrorism, airlines will not refund the cost of your ticket. Travel Insurance plans can cover the cost and help you get home quickly and safely.
  7. Credit card coverage, homeowners and auto insurance, none of these provide sufficient coverage for travel. Even combined, they may not offset the cost of a medical emergency overseas.
  8. In the unlikely case of supplier default. If a cruise line, airline or other travel provider ceases operations, travel insurance saves you from paying for a trip you'll really never get to take.
  9. We all experience tough economic times.
The loss of a job or other income might mean a trip planned in advance may have to wait. Travel insurance puts cash back into your hands when you need it most.
