Day 1 Saturday 30th August

Make your way to London Heathrow Airport to board the 9.55pm flight direct to Rio de Janeiro. Make sure you arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure to clear security in plenty of time.

Day 2 Sunday 31st August

Early morning arrival into Rio de Janeiro International Airport where you'll be met by the STT tour hosts in the arrivals hall. The hosts will introduce you to your driver who will take you straight to the 4* Windsor California Hotel, our home for the next 4 nights. The Windsor California is located right on the famous Copacabana Beach. You'll be welcomed in the lobby by another tour host who will assist you with check-in and provide your tour gifts as well as providing an orientation of the local area. The afternoon is free before we meet again early evening for our welcome reception with food and drinks included, this is a great opportunity to meet your fellow travellers.

Day 3 Monday 1st September

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we meet in the lobby to begin our first half-day tour of this incredible city. The tour will begin with a visit to Christ the Redeemer, one of the seven wonders of the modern World. This 98ft Statue constructed between 1922 and 1931 stands as the guardian of the city and you'll get the most spectacular views from its base. Then we continue with a visit to the Selaron steps created by renowned Chilean born artist Jorge Selaron as a tribute to the Brazilian People, we'll spend some time in the city center and also include a visit to the amazing cathedral, before heading back to the hotel. If you want more sightseeing there are a number of optional tours, you'll be able to book for this afternoon, if you prefer relaxing on the beach then its right outside the front door of the hotel.

Day 4 Tuesday 2nd September

This morning is free, there are more options for you to book more sightseeing, and then just after lunch we'll meet in the lobby for our second half day tour. The tour will include visits to Ipanema Beach (made famous by the hit song Girl from Ipanema released in the 1960's), Sambodromo da Marques de Sapucai and we'll complete the tour with a trip in the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain. The views across the water give you the most iconic view of Christ the Redeemer as well as Copacabana Beach at sunset. The evening is free.

Day 5 Wednesday 3rd September

The day is free to do some more sightseeing or to simply take in the sights and sounds of the most famous beach in the world.

Day 6 Thursday 4th September

After a final breakfast in Rio, we head off to the airport for the short 1-hour flight to São Paulo. On arrival we'll collect our luggage, and our bus will take us straight to the 4* Melia Paulista Hotel. The Melia Paulista is located right on the famous Paulista Avenue with its multitude of bars, restaurants and shops. The afternoon is free before we meet again for our Thursday Night Opening Day Party. Our venue is a fabulous traditional Brazilian bar just 5 minutes' walk from our hotel where we'll introduce you to some wonderful local delicacies as well as more traditional international food. The drinks are all inclusive and we'll have entertainment from a local Samba band as well as showing the Opening game of the 2025 NFL season live on TV.

Day 7 Friday 5th September

Make sure you start the day with breakfast at the hotel, and then you'll have a little free time before we meet to head over to our private pregame tailgate party right next to the stadium where food, drinks as well as a DJ and band will entertain you for 4 hours prior to kick off. Then you'll simply walk across the street and into the Neo Química Arena (home of the Brazilian football giants, Corinthians) for the 2nd NFL game in Brazil. After the game the buses will pick us up at the Tailgate Party venue and take us back to the hotel for a well-earned rest.

Day 8 Saturday 6th September

After last nights' late night, we'll make our way to the airport for our flight to Iguassu Falls. The flight will arrive into Foz do Iguaçu, the closest city to the Falls, at 2pm and then we'll head over to our magnificent 5* hotel Das Cataratas Iguassu Falls located right at the falls themselves. After a chance to unpack, we'll take a walking tour from the hotel where you'll get your first view of the natural wonder that borders 3 countries and make up the largest waterfall system in the world. After seeing the falls at dusk, we'll head back for dinner at the hotel.

Day 9 Sunday 7th September

Make sure you remember your passports as we're heading across the border this morning into Argentina to see the full majesty of the falls. Our guided tour lasts all day and includes a packed lunch courtesy of our hotel. At the conclusion of the days tour we'll head to the part of the falls where all 3 countries meet where you'll get to choose from the restaurants for your evening meal.

Day 10 Monday 8th September

After a sumptuous breakfast we'll pack up and head back to the airport for our flight back to Sao Paulo in time to catch our afternoon flight back to the UK.

Q: Are Flights Included in this package? 

A: Yes, All flights are included in the package. Please note flights to and from Brazil are overnight and so the day you arrive in Brazil and back into London will be 1 day later than the day you depart. 

Q: What entry requirements are there to go to Brazil? 

A: If you hold a full British passport, and your stay in Brazil will be 90 days or less, you do NOT require a visa to enter Brazil. However, your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 6 months after the date you arrive. If you do not hold a full British passport then please contact Sports Travel Tours for advice on next steps. 

Q: What do I need to know when I arrive in Brazil? 

A: The most important thing to remember when you arrive at the border control point at the airport in Brazil is to ensure that the border official puts an official stamp in your passport. If your passport is not stamped, then, you MAY be fined when you leave.  

Q: Are there any documents/information that I need to show at the point of entry? 

A:  At Brazil border control, you must be able to show information about the purpose of your visit, evidence you have enough money for your whole stay, details of your accommodation, evidence of return or onward travel. This means you should make sure you have your return flight details and confirmation number, the address of your hotel and confirmation number as well as be able to provide details of your trip, sightseeing tours, game and tailgate details.  

Q: Are there any special vaccinations required for travel to São Paulo.  

A: Yellow Fever vaccine is recommended for travel to Iguassu Falls. however its not required. No special vaccinations are required for travel to either São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Please consult your doctor if you have any health-related questions.  

Q: What time can I check into my room? 

A: Check in time at the hotel is from 3pm onwards. When you arrive at the hotel, you'll meet your tour host at our hospitality desk located in the lobby, and they will assist with the check in process. As you will arrive earlier than the check in time, the hotel will allow you to store your bags in a secure room until the room is ready, and you'll be free to start exploring the local area whilst this is being done. 

Q: When/how will I get my game tickets? 

A: All game tickets are expected to be mobile entry. You will need a cell phone with access to data (please ask your provider about international plans ahead of your trip). On arrival your tour host at the reception desk will assist you in downloading the ticket onto your phone. Please note, you will be provided with the exact location of your seat approximately 1 week prior to your departure, however we can only transfer your ticket when you arrive at the hotel in Brazil.
