Day 1 Sunday 28th December

Upon arrival at Zurich International Airport, you’ll be greeted by STT’s tour host. At 1:00 PM, we’ll board our bus for the journey to Davos. If you happen to arrive early in the morning, you can unwind in a nearby airport hotel room before we depart. Once we reach the breathtaking mountain town of Davos, you’ll check in at the Hard Rock Hotel. After settling in, we’ll make our way to the hotel’s rooftop for a welcome reception, complete with stunning views. Food and drinks are included, and we’ll be showing the early Spengler Cup game on TV.  In the evening, you can choose to head to Vaillant Arena for an optional additional game as the group stages end this evening.

Day 2 Monday 29th December

Your morning is free to start exploring Davos. Take the funicular up to the top of Schatzalp Mountain, where Thomas Mann wrote his Nobel Prize-winning novel The Magic Mountain. Today, the former sanitarium has been transformed into a hotel, and the sun terrace offers breathtaking views—perfect for enjoying a drink and a pastry! If you’re feeling more active, you might try outdoor ice skating at the rink outside the Arena or even go sledging down the mountain. There’s certainly no shortage of things to do. Game 2 of our trip, and Game 7 of the tournament, begins at 3:10 PM, so we’ll walk over to the Arena in plenty of time to catch the warm-ups. After the game, you’ll have a couple of hours to grab a bite before returning to the Arena for the 8:15 PM game. Your tour host will be happy to recommend the best local restaurants, or you can pre-book a meal at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 3 Tuesday 30th December

After enjoying a fabulous breakfast at the hotel, included each day, you’ll have a few free hours to explore Davos at your leisure. Later, we’ll head back to the Arena for Game 9, the first semi-final. Today’s schedule has a shorter break between games, so be sure to pre-book your evening meal, as we’ll return to the Arena promptly for Game 10, the second semi-final. By the end of the evening, we’ll know which two teams will face off in tomorrow’s Final.

Day 4 Wednesday 31st December

It’s the big day—the Final! After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to relax, but the final begins at 12:10 PM, so we’ll head to the Arena to make sure you don’t miss a single moment of this year’s tournament finale. Once the trophy presentation and celebrations wrap up, you’ll have some free time before our New Year’s Eve Party kicks off at 8:00 PM. The party takes place right in the hotel, featuring a 3-course celebratory meal and a full open bar in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The dress code? Your favorite hockey jersey—no tuxedos required! The evening concludes back on the rooftop at the stroke of midnight, where we’ll raise a glass of bubbly and toast to 2027 in style.

Day 5 Thursday 1st January

After a late night, today is all about relaxing and doing exactly as you please. If you’re feeling adventurous, consider taking a scenic train journey to the iconic Swiss mountain resort of St. Moritz. You can visit the famous Cresta Run, or, if you’re feeling daring, try speeding down the legendary bobsleigh course. For a more tranquil experience, hot air ballooning over the Alps offers breathtaking views. Back in Davos, skiing enthusiasts can head over to Klosters, a favorite ski destination of the English Royal Family, and enjoy the pristine slopes. Whatever your choice, today is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Day 6 Friday 2nd January

After breakfast, we check out and head back to Zurich for your flight or train home.

 Travel Insurance

Buy travel protection from Travel Insured International

We always recommend you take out Travel Insurance and below we've listed just some of the reasons why:

  1. Life is unpredictable. Some trips need to be cancelled.
With the right travel insurance, you won't have to pay for a trip you are unable to take.
  2. Most lost luggage takes five days to return to its owner.
Travel insurance provides coverage to replace needed items right away.
  3. Lost or forgotten medication?
Travel insurance will assist you in locating a pharmacy to purchase a new prescription.
  4. Travelers stateside and abroad can become ill or injured during their trip.
Travel insurance can provide peace of mind – especially for travel outside the United States, where many hospitals request cash payments in the thousands before treatment can even begin.
  5. Health insurance may not go the distance.
The majority of health insurance (including Medicare), worker’s compensation insurance, third-party and personal liability policies don’t cover international travel. In fact, a closer look at the inside of your passport will reveal that the government recommends travel insurance when traveling outside the United States.
  6. In the event of a natural disaster, airline strike or act of terrorism, airlines will not refund the cost of your ticket. Travel Insurance plans can cover the cost and help you get home quickly and safely.
  7. Credit card coverage, homeowners and auto insurance, none of these provide sufficient coverage for travel.
  8. Even combined, they may not offset the cost of a medical emergency overseas.
  9. In the unlikely case of supplier default. If a cruise line, airline or other travel provider ceases operations, travel insurance saves travelers from paying for a trip they’ll really never get to take.
  10. We all experience tough economic times.
  11. The loss of a job or other income might mean a trip planned in advance may have to wait. Travel insurance puts cash back into the hands of travelers when they need it most.
